Enhancing Consumer Awareness of Sustainable Choices through High-Density Data-Driven Communication

The objective is to develop a system that recommends eco-friendly and healthy choices to consumers based on their individual habits and preferences, without overwhelming them with too much information. Using insights from EU projects like Food4Me, along with FAIR data and specialized web tools, the system will analyze consumers’ buying patterns and their impacts on health and the environment. It will then offer personalized advice through AI technologies, including language and diffusion models, to suggest improvements in a clear and accessible way. The aim is to make it easier for people to make sustainable choices by providing targeted, understandable feedback through various media, ultimately encouraging healthier and more environmentally friendly lifestyles.

Proposed solution: Analyze consumer behavior, dietary habits, and sustainability impacts, providing AI-driven advice to promote healthier and more sustainable choices. Utilizing advanced AI like Large Language Models and Diffusion Models, the project will deliver tailored feedback on purchases and adapt communication for different audiences, from detailed analyses for experts to simplified content for social media. The process involves creating user profiles, assessing their sustainability, identifying challenges, and developing a behavior-based knowledge database to inform decision-making. The goal is a proof of concept, tested by experts and aimed at enhancing consumer awareness and fostering sustainable lifestyles.
