On 3 October 2025, FoodDataQuest will host a stakeholder event-open to both in-person and online participants-focused on the role of data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming the agrifood sector.
With supply chain productivity, labor shortages, and climate change high on the EU agenda, data sharing, digitalisation, and AI integration have become key priorities. Yet, agriculture and food systems, which are complex and often shaped by geopolitical and environmental uncertainties, are advancing more slowly than other industries due to cultural, social, and economic factors. This raises crucial questions: How can food value chains embrace digitalisation? What role should collaboration play? And how can AI support both innovation and sustainability?
The event will explore the current data and policy landscape-covering policies, trends, and opportunities-while showcasing real-world use cases from the FoodDataQuest project, including:
Current data and policy landscape
- Policy and trends
- Data landscape and opportunities
Use Case applications by FoodDataQuest project
- Predicting & Preventing Fraud in Olive Oil industry with AI and DNA tools
- Tackling Food Waste with Data: Leveraging technology to reduce Food Waste in healthcare
- A Dual Dashboard Approach Integrating Farm-to-Fork Data for Sustainable Food Chains
- Empowering Consumers: AI-Driven Behavioural Tools for Sustainable Food Decisions
On 3 October, we are discussing how FoodDataQuest is addressing these issues and learn more about our different use cases. For attendance, please register here.
