FoodDataQuest was recently featured in the latest report from New Food Magazine, Global Food Supply Chains in 2026: Building Resilience Under Pressure. The report explores the key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of global food supply chains, including resilience, sustainability, digitalisation, and food security in an increasingly complex global environment.
As part of the publication, partners from Wageningen University contributed Chapter 11, presenting insights from the FoodDataQuest project on the role of data-driven innovation in strengthening food systems. The chapter highlights how improved data sharing, interoperability, and collaboration across stakeholders can support more resilient and transparent food supply chains. It also explores the growing importance of digital technologies and data ecosystems in helping food systems respond to disruptions, improve decision-making, and support the transition towards more sustainable and healthy diets.
The contribution reflects FoodDataQuest’s mission to harness data and digital innovation to accelerate food systems transformation. By connecting actors across the food value chain and enabling better use of both public and private data, the project aims to support evidence-based solutions that strengthen resilience, sustainability, and trust within the agrifood sector.
