The FoodDataQuest consortium started the year with an interesting learning session on intellectual property held in January, where they were able to understand the ins and outs of this important topic. 

The session focused on key aspects of IP management within the project, including: 

• Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Rights: Understanding and distinguishing these concepts. 

• IP Protection Measures: Strategies for safeguarding IP, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. 

• IP Management in EU-Funded Projects: Practical approaches to managing IP in FoodDataQuest, with an emphasis on background IP, access rights, exploitation, and dissemination. 

FoodDataQuest aims to harness the transformative power of data, driving the industry towards a more sustainable, inclusive, and efficient future.  Data-driven innovation is not only shaping the future of food but also laying the groundwork for healthier communities and a healthier planet.
