FoodDataQuest is working to promote healthier and more sustainable diets by harnessing data-driven innovation across the food supply chain. The project takes a multi-actor approach, engaging stakeholders from producers to consumers, and leverages advanced tools such as AI and Machine Learning to analyze both conventional and unconventional data sources.
The project is built around four use cases that put theory into practice: improving traceability in the olive oil sector, reducing food waste in healthcare settings, integrating farm-to-fork sustainability data, and helping consumers make more sustainable food choices. Through these use cases, FoodDataQuest aims to test, validate, and scale new data-sharing models and AI tools while carefully balancing openness with data privacy and long-term sustainability.
Data-driven innovation is not only shaping the future of food but also laying the groundwork for healthier communities and a healthier planet.
